A weekly study of Imām al-Nawawī’s celebrated forty hadith, with attention to the adab of the student of knowledge.
Imām al-Nawawī’s al-Arbaʿīn is a foundational collection studied by students of knowledge for centuries. This course works through it one hadith per week, with translation, explanation, and discussion.
The teacher holds an ijāza in the text and emphasizes both the meaning of each hadith and the etiquette with which knowledge is received and lived.
Time is set aside in each session for sisters to ask questions and apply what was studied to their own lives.
